"I visited Danny's new business a few weeks ago, and was VERY impressed with the video setup that shows what you are doing on the tablefro m FOUR DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES! How cool is that?
And, he's got some great books on pool (I bought "Precision Pool", new edition)"

"I had a stroke analysis and hour lesson (that turned into three) Smile a couple of weeks ago. Definitely changed my outlook on my own play and how I practice. Although the camera ads a few pounds it was cool to see how easily and often I break out of my own routine. Highly recommended!"

Just wanted to comment on Danny Propp and the Monk Billiard Academy since I originally found out about him here on the SDAPA board. Here’s my trip report.
As others have mentioned the stroke analysis is really very cool. It’s sort of a rude awakening to see a comparison between the way you "think" you stroke the ball vs. how you really stroke it.
I have taken 2 follow up lessons with Danny and found him to be an outstanding instructor with a wealth of information. He is really good at keying in on gaps in your skills and tailors his lessons towards filling those gaps.
Danny has really helped me tighten up my game. He is really not handing out any secrets to instant pool success. He is more like a coach that can maximize your practice time so you can work on what you really need to be working on and quit trying to fix what isn’t broken. That alone makes it worth it for me because I put in a LOT of time in on the practice tables and want to know I am doing things right.
He seems to be really good with kids. We took a short timeout from one of our sessions while he gave an informal lesson to a young man that came in with his mom. I don’t know how old he was but the kid could barely see over the pool table. In no time flat Danny had him chalking like a pro and he was making balls. It was a lot of fun and everyone enjoyed watching the mini Mosconi go to work.
While I think he is really dynamite with beginners and can connect, I think he is probably of more value to the more serious players that practice smart and are seriously looking to advance their skills.
I would absolutely recommend him if you are looking for a qualified instructor.

"...In addition I have done the "Stroke Analysis" lesson with Danny and must say that I learned a lot. It covered so many fundamental mechanics of stroke, stance and pre-shot routine. His style of teaching is very effective and he communicates his ideas very well. I got a lot of great information out of the lesson which I look forward to practicing and making a part of my game."

"To all Players serious about improving their game of pool playing, Danny provides a most powerful vehicle for behavioral change for any skill level Player. My experience of a Stroke Analysis through Video in combination with, Danny's keen observations and feedback has provided me with an instant and individualized evaluation of all aspects of my making a shot. Immediate visual and verbal feedback was provided and, helped me to identify inefficient an ineffective pool shooting behaviors and simultaneously, reflecting effective technique in behavior to facilitate change of habits, leading to accurate stroke; speed; and, cue ball control. Thank you Danny, Master Instructor @ Monk Billiard Academy. I have been shown a clear path. Now, I have to practice and reinforce the new to set a higher level of effectiveness in my Game while, extinguishing old unproductive habits. "

Danny Propp is a class act! I recieved more detailed instruction than I ever expected with his stroke analysis class. He broke me down to the basics. Danny is a great instructor who really cares about his students. His class was only two hours, but he spent an additional hour with me! I highly recommend his services to anyone who needs to elevate their game. Great facility...

Thanks for the stroke analysis Danny! It helped me focus on ball reaction and control, and the effects stroke plays in relationship to the game as a whole. I'm using it and it's working!
